About Us

The history of the Clouds UK brand can be traced back to the year 2001 when our parent company Eurosafe UK were asked by Punch Taverns to assist with their legal duty to share information relating to asbestos within their 500 plus properties.

Under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 (since revoked by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006) Punch Taverns had a duty to ensure that any building trade operative working in their pubs was made aware of the location of all known asbestos containing materials in the building. As exposure to asbestos fibres can lead to potentially fatal diseases Punch Taverns took this duty extremely seriously.

However the problem they had was how to disseminate the documentation they had on asbestos across all their contractors. For example how would a plumber, who had been called out in the middle of the night to a leak, know if he was likely to disturb any material containing asbestos?

Our solution to the problem was to host the information over the internet via a secure 24/7 web site that was only accessible by using a personal password and user name. Going back to the dilemma facing the plumber, he would simply have to access the web site, view the asbestos report and take the necessary precautions.

Little did we know it at the time but this was our first experience of the power of what is now known as “Cloud Computing”.

In the years since 2001 a lot has changed. Punch Taverns now have nearly 8,000 pubs and we not only continue to host all their asbestos surveys, but we also enable them to run their construction projects online. For example their new £7 million corporate HQ in Burton on Trent has been planned, tendered and built using our platform to manage the flow of information.

As we have developed our technology we have added numerous household names to our client base, as evidenced on

Recently we have diversified away from the construction sector and have used our “Cloud Computing” to produce products for the lettings market and the insurance industry. The Cloud UK offer can now be adapted to suit the needs of any industry, business or organisation.
